Pan American Cultural Exchange (PACE) is pleased to present an exquisite performance of poetry and music coming to us from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
THE CROSSING
An Afternoon with Musicians and Poets
This is to be an encounter of everyone’s sensitivities with musicians, pianist Ana Victoria Chaves, violinist Federico Moujan and the writer Santiago Kovadloff at the helm. In this instance, music and poetry come together to give life to the feelings of time, love, loneliness and dreams. The speakable and the unspeakable are combined in melodies that cross centuries undefeated and in words that forever have portrayed the thrill of living.
The musicians and the poet trace an itinerary, a little over an hour long, that invites us to travel and inhabit aesthetic atmospheres that are as varied as they are equally intense: Classicism and Baroque; Romanticism and Impressionism; Expressionism and Modernism. Histories are born, reborn and threaded with each other in the inspired hands of Ana Victoria Chaves and Federico Moujan, while the voice of Santiago Kovadloff unveils a palette that goes back in time to Latin poetry reaching some of the most popular and eloquent authors of today.
In short: This is an open invitation to those who want to share a rewarding and memorable artistic offering.
