NUESTRA SEÑORA DE LUJAN HOSPITAL
PROVINCE OF BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA

Early in this summer of 2021, a longtime acquaintance from Houston contacted us to talk about one of our current exchange programs for Houston – La Travesía. Her name is Nora Navone and she’s a health researcher at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston.

Nora is from Lujan, this lovely city that houses the most beautiful basilica you’ve ever seen in the midst of a typically vast fertile Argentine countryside, 68 miles from the capital city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Hospital Nuestra Señora de Luján is the only multipurpose public health establishment that caters to the general public AT NO COST in this city of Luján and its surroundings (120,000 inhabitants). This hospital does not currently have an appropriate pediatric emergency service to stabilize critically ill children before they are transferred to a specialized medical center.

PACE is pleased to collaborate with another nonprofit organization called The Casa Argentina de Houston (CAH) to help raise the required funds through this GoFundMe account. Casa Argentina de Houston will deliver the funds collected to the Luján Hospital Volunteer Service for the purchase of the equipment and will monitor and report on the progress of the project.
We thank you in advance for whatever you may be able to do to help us reach our goal. https://www.gofundme.com/f/ciudad-de-lujn-sin-emergencia-peditrica-por-fav
